SLYNE WITH HEST BOWLING CLUB
is a friendly Crown Green bowling club. Membership is open to all age groups, (although 16 year old and under must be accompanied by a responsible adult.)

Crown Green bowls is a game of skill and tactics. It provides gentle exercise which does not require excessive strength or stamina. It is a good way to get out in the open air and meet like minded people for an hour or two at a time.

Games can be competitive when playing in league or competition matches, or just friendly when playing and practising with other members..

The bowling season is from mid March until mid October each year.

Registration day for existing and new members was on Saturday 14th March 2026, however new members can register any time throughout the season, just contact the Club Secretary (email above)

We will be providing open/trial sessions during the next season when people can come down to the club, talk to members and have a supervised session on the green. The club do have a selection of bowls that can be used for games and practice, so newcomers do not have to any special equipment.

Open times for people to try bowls will commence on Saturdays from 21st March, between 10am and 12 noon. Just come to the green and talk to any of the members present for help and guidance.

Any new people who cannot make it on a Saturday morning, come along to the green and talk to any member who may be there. All members are friendly and will help and provide guidance on the game.

To go on the green, players must have suitable footwear. Soft soled shoes or trainers are preferred. Sandals are acceptable, but must not be open toed for safety reasons.
